Watch your bill- it could be padded! Lobster bisque cut with Campbell's condensed cream soup, "vegetable medley" a cafeteria style peas/carrot blend- no substitutions with other veggies allowed. Very weak drinks... Good complimentary bruschetta! Even skimped on our take-out box- 1/3 of our pasta dish mysteriously disappeared between table and carry-out container. A long time to get main courses after apps- for a table of 5. However, good overall wait-staff service. Lasagna came out luke-warm and had to be sent back.

This is probably the best Italian cuisine I have ever experienced. When combined with the thoughtful service and exceptional entertainment, it was truly a night to remember!

Locals think the interior is some film noir, in truth it is gaudy and confused. Crowded in areas, huge ill conceived chandeliers and too warm for comfort. Service can be a bit overbearing with someone constantly fussing at the table. The food is inconsistent with a bitter tasting caesar salad and way oversauced entrees. Both our meals were swimming in sauce which had an acidic bite to it. Dessert was the highlight with a nice cheesecake and a fruit compote. The owner is very abrasive and loud and constantly yelling at the staff. The prices are way above reasonable for the quality of food and preparation. We paid over $150 for two with a couple of glasses of wine with no tip! It wasn't worth that much.

Taken here by a colleague and shall not return! The service was over the top. I don't think I spent more than 2 minutes at any time without someone at my table. We couldn't carry on a conversation if we tried. I ordered a mixed seafood dish that was less than tasty. The lobster was tough and chewy and the mussels were very fishy. My colleague's Saltimbocca a la Roma was smothered in sauce and tasted of little else. The veal was bland, and he couldn't taste the sage that is so important to this dish. I wouldn't say the piano was wonderful, with a player singing very suggestive songs in the bar that was so loud we left to return to our hotel.

i've lived hot springs a long time. i know the owners of Belle Arti. my review is impartial to them. they have excellent food. the service is great. the staff is very polite. the owners are very attentive to their clients. it has a very charming atmosphere, artistic with soft lighting. nice piano bar, very talented piano player and singer. i recommend the manicotti al forno and ask the singer to perform "My Funny Valentine."
